01Your device
- Only the meeting app and microphone
- Transcription with local AI
- Audio is discarded afterwards
- Speakers and voice profiles stay local
juunote is developed by juunit GmbH, a company that has confidential conversations every day itself. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
What’s behind it technically — from the microphone to sync between your devices.
Speech recognition (Whisper) runs locally on your computer. On Mac and Windows the audio exists only briefly in memory and is discarded after transcription — it is never written to disk and never uploaded.
Transcripts, minutes and notes live in an encrypted database (SQLCipher). The key is kept in the macOS keychain or the Windows credential store.
For the minutes, the AI only receives text. Every user gets a personal access key via juunit that expires after 24 hours. The gateway does not log conversation content. The service providers involved are listed in the privacy notice.
With Pro, your devices stay in sync. Data is encrypted on the device before it is sent; the server only sees encrypted blocks.
You sign in with your company’s Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account. Guests and personal accounts are excluded, and each account may use at most five devices.
juunote records app-precisely: the meeting app’s audio and your microphone. Music, system sounds and other programs stay out.
Screenshots are never taken automatically, only when you start the screen log — and they are stored encrypted with the minutes.
juunote is developed and operated by juunit GmbH in Eschborn, Germany. Signed updates for Mac (notarised by Apple) and Windows.
Privacy is more than technology. These are the questions we hear most.
juunote does not store an audio recording, only a transcript. Still: let the people involved know that notes are being taken. Voice profiles of other people — biometric data — require their explicit consent.
For companies on request — get in touch and we’ll sort out the data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.
No. juunote does not use your minutes or transcripts for training.
Deleted meetings first go to the trash and are then deleted for good — including the speakers’ voice features.
We’re happy to answer them directly — technically and legally.
